The Adoptionistas are a same sex couple who fell in love and navigated the long foster adoption process. In May of 2012, the Adoptionistas brought home their son and daughter from Africa. FosterAdoption is an Adopted Married Mom of 6 and a Foster Parent who advocates for kids in the Adoption and Foster Care System through actually Fostering children herself! I love reading Tweets from @NewHopeAdoption. They are a Russian, Hague-accredited, licensed non-profit adoption agency helping orphaned children from Russia. New Hope Adoption shares stories on the Adoption Process in Russia, stories about Russian Adoption Journey’s and Informational posts to help others who are going through or want to adopt from Russia. And with all of the changing laws regarding Russian Adoption, this is a good twitter feed to follow.
Rita Soronen is the President and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. She has been the CEO for almost 12 years and has worked tirelessly to help children in foster care find forever families. Rita is always thanking individuals and organizations for following her on Twitter and is always retweeting information on the Adoption Process and Foster Care. Resources4Adoption is the Mecca for all Adoption information, if you are just starting, in the middle or just finishing your Adoption Process journey. Resources4Adoption also tweets out information, posts, inspirational stories, and even quotes all about Adoption and the Foster Care process. This is definitely a twitter feed you have to follow for Adoption.
The National Infertility Association helps to improve the lives of women and men living with infertility, and their twitter feed is amazing. They give hope to thousands of individuals with a single tweet, supplying them with blog posts, websites, insight and inspiration on the subject of female and male infertility. Simply Fostering is a very active and well informed Twitter account that provides fostering information and choice of foster agencies to potential and experiences foster parents and homes in the United Kingdom. They constantly tweet information about the foster care system and stats about the number of children who are in need of a caring foster home. While keeping you informed, they also share inspirational stories of hope and love in the foster care system. I am always retweeting their tweets and you should too!
