Fertility and Pregnancy After 40

Fertility and Pregnancy over Forty Years Old

Fertility in women over the age of 40 is one of the most challenging areas in the field of fertility. The reason for this is the natural decline in fertility as women age. Common Causes of Fertility Problems In Men

What are the causes of fertility problems in men?

During my work as a Reproductive Endocrinologist the majority of patients I see are female. On a day-to-day basis the percentage of patients is, hands down, overwhelmingly lopsided. Some may wonder if this is because women have more infertility problems than men? My answer to this myth, is a resounding NO. Years of Infertility – My Story

years of infertility and sorrow

When my husband and I married in 1985, he was 32 and I was almost 30. Having had one child from a previous marriage and also dealing with his ex-wife having a tubal pregnancy, he had previously undergone a vasectomy. Now, however, the circumstances were different and we both wanted children.

The first bill of order would be a vasectomy reversal. That procedure was successful, but we were not successful in conceiving after that on our own. [Read more...]
